The Polo-based SUV will pack a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol TSI engine. On the design front, Nivus bears resemblance with the India-bound SUV Taigun. Boasting a coupe-form, Nivus features tapering roofline on the C-pillar. The SUV is based on VW’s MQB A0 platform.
Volkswagen’s 1.0-litre turbo petrol TSI motor in Brasil-spec is good enough for 126 bhp (ethanol)/ 114bhp (petrol) with an automatic torque convertor. Nivus is expected to get Polo’s engine the same state of tuning.
Latest 8.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, cruise control and automatic post-collision braking are expected to come onboard.
