Richards, one of the finest batsmen to have played the game, played 121 Tests and 187 ODIs for his country. He scored 8540 runs in Test cricket at an average of 50.23. Richards, who was known for his fearless and swashbuckling batting style, has 24 Test centuries and 45 fifties under his belt. He also scored 11 ODI tons.
On the other hand, Marshall, who is still idolised by youngsters for to his lethal fast bowling and ability to take wickets on any surface, claimed 376 wickets in 81 Tests. He also has 157 wickets in 136 ODIs he played for the West Indies.
Marshal dismissed Shastri four times in his Test career. In ODIs, the former Windies bowler sent Shastri back on three occasions.
Shastri, an all-rounder, played 80 Tests and 150 ODIs for India. He scored 3830 runs in Tests and 3108 runs in ODIs. He also took 151 wickets in Tests and 129 wickets in ODIs.
