NTA NEET (UG) 2020: Date to change exam city extended to April 14 – Times of India

NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency has further extended the date for changing exam cities and making corrections in the UEET (UG) 2020 application forms up to Tuesday, April 14, 2020.

Candidates, who have applied for the NEET 2020 examination and wish to change the city can do so till April 14. The candidates are advised to visit the official website – https://ntaneet.nic.in/ – and verify their particulars and make necessary corrections wherever required.

In the notice issued by the NTA stated that in view of the hardships faced by the aspirants due to Covid-19 pandemic, candidates are allowed to carry out corrections in the application form form. The scope now also includes changes in the choice of cities for centres opted by the candidates for NEET (UG) 2020.

The candidates are advised to undertake the4 correction(s) very carefully as no further chance of correction will be provided to the candidates.

The Agency said that it would make efforts to allot the city of examination to the candidates in order of choices now opted by them in their application form. However, due to administrative reasons, a different city may be allotted and the decision of the NTA regarding allotment of Centre shall be final.

According to the notice issued by the NTA that the facility for correction in the NEET (UG) 2020 particulars including choice of cities fro centre in the online application form is now available on the official website ntaneet.nic.in and the same will be available up to April 14, 2020.

Candidates should note that the correction in the particular in the online application forms will be accepted up to 05:00 pm and submission of fee up to 11:50 pm on April 14, 2020.

The additional amount, if applicable, can be paid through Credit/ Debit Card/ Net Banking/ PayTM. In case, additional fee payment is required depending on the changes made in the form, the final update will be reflected after the payment.

However, the government of India is mulling options for extending the nation-wide lockdown for two more weeks.
