“It is unfortunate to note that many private and unaided schools have not only increased fees during the current academic year but also pressing the parents/ guardians to deposit the same during this lockdown period. The honourable minister-in-charge of Education, has already made an appeal to the authorities of all schools to not to increase the fees considering the current situation and to consider the matter of non-payment of fees, if any, sympathetically. However, it has been reported that a few schools have not yet given a positive response so far. The matter has been seriously viewed by the state government,” the letter appealed to principal/headmaster and headmistress of multiple school by Manish Jain, the state’s principal secretary said.
The letter dated April 10, has already been sent to the concerned authorities, a government official said.
